Kaizer Chiefs news: 10 players who have left Naturena this transfer window

Kaizer Chiefs have parted ways with 10 players during the current transfer window. Thabo Cele, who was not part of Fernando Da Cruz's plans, is the latest to depart Naturena. The club announced on Thursday that the 18-year-old midfielder has left. 'Kaizer Chiefs have terminated Thabo Cele's contract by mutual agreement, following constructive discussions between both parties. The decision will allow Cele to pursue new opportunities while Amakhosi continue to reshape their squad for the 2026/27 season,' Amakhosi said in a statement. Among the players released by the club are midfielder George Matlou and defender Happy Mashiane after their contracts expired. Striker Tashreeq Morris also departed after Chiefs decided not to extend his stay. The forward struggled to make a significant impact during his spell at Naturena and failed to establish himself as a regular goalscorer. Experienced attacker Gastón Sirino also left the club after two seasons, while goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari has been loaned out following the arrival of Renaldo Leaner. Last week, it was revealed that Glody Lilepo left for Libya. Defender Given Msimango and Ashley du Preez left last month to join Stellenbosch FC. Young defender Aden McCarthy was sold to Azerbaijani club Turan Tovuz earlier in the transfer window.
