Guwahati, Sep 8 Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday visited the residence of late Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Deputy Speaker and BJP leader Bijit Gwra Narzary and offered condolences to his family following his recent death in an unfortunate incident. Sarma said he met members of Narzary's family and expressed solidarity with them and his supporters during the difficult period. 'Visited the residence of Late Bijit Gwra Narzary, Deputy Speaker of BTC and BJP Leader who passed away in an unfortunate incident recently. My deepest condolences to his family and supporters. We stand by them in this difficult hour,' the Chief Minister said in a post on X. Sarma also offered prayers for the departed leader and prayed for his 'sadgati'. 'Offered my prayers for the sadgati of the departed soul. Om Shanti,' he said. Narzary's death has come as a loss to the political leadership and people associated with the BTC region.
