LAHORE - The supply of flour is continuing normally across the province, with no shortage reported in the market. A spokesperson for the Punjab Food Safety and Consumer Protection Department said here on Friday that the department was ensuring an uninterrupted supply of flour produced from government wheat across Punjab. He said flour mills across the province were grinding government wheat and supplying 10kg flour bags at Rs 1,100 each. 'Flour mills throughout the province are operating normally to ensure the adequate availability of flour, while the Punjab Food Safety and Consumer Protection Department is maintaining strict monitoring of flour supply, availability and prices,' the spokesperson said. Major restrictions imposed on construction projects in City He said that 222,737 bags of 10kg flour and 342,469 bags of 20kg flour had been supplied across Punjab. A further 131,956 bags of 20kg flour had also been supplied, while the overall supply included 829,118 bags of 10kg flour. The spokesperson said the Punjab government was taking all possible measures to ensure the uninterrupted supply of quality flour to the public. 'The availability and prices of flour are being continuously monitored to ensure that citizens can easily purchase quality flour at the prescribed price,' he added. The spokesperson said the flour supply process was being continuously monitored across the province, while the performance of flour mills and the availability of flour in markets were being reviewed on a daily basis.
