Indian Army Signs MoU with Jaipur School, Offers Up to 50% Fee Concession for Soldiers' Wards

The Indian Army has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' School, Jaipur, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for the daughters and wards of serving and retired Army personnel, as well as families of soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice or died while in service. Under the agreement, significant fee concessions will be provided to eligible wards seeking education at the school, offering additional educational support to Army families. As part of the MoU, a 50 per cent tuition fee concession will be provided to two wards belonging to eligible categories that include war widows, personnel who died in harness and personnel declared as battle casualties. For these eligible categories, the 50 per cent concession will also extend beyond tuition fees to cover the admission fee, boarding fee and caution money, substantially reducing the financial burden on the families. The agreement also provides a 15 per cent tuition fee concession for five wards of serving Indian Army personnel. Additionally, three wards of retired Army personnel will be eligible for a 15 per cent concession on tuition fees. The initiative reflects the Indian Army's continuing emphasis on the welfare of its personnel and their families, particularly by facilitating access to educational opportunities for their children. The MoU with Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' School, Jaipur, adds another avenue of institutional support for Army families, with special provisions for families of personnel who lost their lives while serving the nation.
