Kurtz Ersa to Exhibit and Present at SMTA Utah Expo & Tech Forum

Kurtz Ersa Inc. will exhibit at the SMTA Utah Expo & Tech Forum on Sept. 16, 2026, at the Salt Lake City Marriott University Park. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Kurtz Ersa's comprehensive portfolio of solutions designed to improve process control, increase manufacturing efficiency, and support high-reliability electronics production. The exhibit will feature the HOTFLOW THREE reflow oven, the VERSAFLOW 4 Core Edition selective soldering system, the SRO i-LINE vacuum reflow system for semiconductor applications, the HR 600P rework system, the Interflux ICSF Select6 spray fluxer and the i-CON TRACE soldering station. Joe Clure, head of the Applications and Demo Center at Kurtz Ersa Inc., will present a paper at 1 p.m. titled 'Improving Transfer of Thermal Energy During Selective Soldering Using Common Settings and Preparation/Tooling Choices.' Clure has more than 25 years of experience in the soldering industry, including roles as field service engineer, site process engineer and regional selective soldering subject matter expert. He holds degrees from universities in Wisconsin and New York. His presentation will address how machine options, program settings and tooling choices affect thermal energy transfer between solder alloy and PCB/pin materials. Recent testing using parameters available on a wide range of selective soldering machines will offer attendees practical guidance for improving vertical hole fill and reducing solder bridging. The expo opens at 9 a.m. with registration and the exhibit hall. Technical presentations begin at 10 a.m., with Clure's session at 1 p.m. and a final presentation at 2:30 p.m. The expo floor closes at 2:30 p.m.
