A Peterborough man has been charged following a disturbance early Saturday morning. Peterborough police were first called to the area of George Street North and Charlotte Street for reports of a man attempting to fight others shortly before 3 a.m. The incident was de-escalated, but several minutes later, police received another call about the same man causing a disturbance around Hunter and George streets. Upon arrival, police said one officer drew their conducted energy weapon while several others took the man into custody, where he continued to resist arrest.
