Current Arsenal star furious with Mikel Arteta after being told to leave

Atletico Madrid blocked that and kept him. Morgan says Arsenal would have sold Gyokeres to make the Atletico deal work. When it died, Gyokeres stayed, behind Kai Havertz. 'I was told that Gyokeres is p****d off about the way he's been treated and feels he's been disrespected. I think that's undeniable but that it also shows the ruthless streak of Mikel Arteta which many Arsenal fans are quite happy to see. I'm told Arsenal are bracing to go back into the market for a new striker in January. They're going to go back in during the January window and get someone.' Morgan, who was on the pitch after May's title celebration, also said the club thought they had Vinicius Junior. 'I'm told Arsenal thought they had Vinicius Junior who would have been brilliant for us. What I do know is Arsenal thought they had him and thought they had him until the day before he signed a new contract at Real Madrid.' None of it is an Arsenal briefing. It is Morgan citing 'good authority' the day before a delayed flight to Napoli. Havertz is starting and scoring. Jamie Carragher has already said Gyokeres is never taking that place. If the Metro version is right, the summer was an exit that failed and January is the next attempt. If it is not, Gyokeres still has to earn more than a late cameo.
