Mountain Mission to collect coats in honor of Dolly Parton

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WOWK) – A gathering of coats stitched with love is taking place in South Charleston as part of an event hosted by the Mountain Mission. The event will honor the life and legacy of Dolly Parton with a 'Coat of Any Color Collection Drive'. The event is inspired by Parton's iconic song, 'Coat of Many Colors'. As colder weather is on the horizon, Mountain Mission is getting prepared by requesting new or gently used coats of any color. Mountain Mission is in need of all sizes and is taking collections through 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the South Charleston Rec Center. For more news from across the Tri-State, click here.
