Dunnellon Man Killed, Passenger Injured In Motorcycle Crash On I-275 In Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. – A 62-year-old man from Dunnellon died Sunday afternoon after losing control of his motorcycle on Interstate 275 in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. near milepost 53. State troopers reported that the man was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on the highway when he lost control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle left the roadway and overturned. The driver sustained fatal injuries from the crash. His passenger, a 61-year-old woman also from Dunnellon, suffered serious injuries. Emergency responders transported her to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Troopers have not released the names of the individuals involved.
