Restaurant Manager Allegedly Stabs Mother to Death, Then Asks Delivery Driver to Call 911

Stefano Cremasco Cicero, 36, has been charged with second-degree murder with a weapon in connection with the death, NBC Miami reported. He was taken into custody just after 5 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 4 at the Solitair Brickell Apartments in Miami where the alleged stabbing occurred. 'Everything points as to that the incident that took place is definitely isolated and maybe domestic,' Miami Police spokesperson Kenia Fallat said, per NBC Miami. According to an arrest affidavit, officers arrived at the high-rise building after Cremasco Cicero approached a food-delivery driver in the lobby and asked her to call 911, the Miami Herald reported. The food delivery driver told police that she was dropping off an order when Cremasco Cicero, who was in the lobby, let her inside the building and asked her to call 911. According to the affidavit, Cremasco Cicero called 911 and passed his phone to her. She spoke to the dispatcher and tried to return the phone to Cremasco Cicero but he refused to take it. She gave it to officers when they arrived, per the affidavit, the Herald reported. At the apartment complex, officers spoke to Cremasco Cicero who allegedly told them, 'I was defending myself,' the affidavit states, per the Herald. According to the affidavit, Cremasco Cicero's mother was found behind the entry door of his 47th floor apartment 'covered in blood and suffering from multiple apparent stab wounds,' WSVN reported. Investigators also discovered 'several kitchen knives with blood residue,' the report states, according to WSVN. According to the affidavit, investigators contacted Cremasco Cicero's wife, who was in Paris. She told them that Cremasco Cicero and his mother, who was visiting from Mexico, 'were not close' since his parents divorced, the affidavit states, according to WSVN. Cremasco Cicero, an operating manager for an Argentinian restaurant, was allegedly 'under a lot of stress due to the opening of a new restaurant in Coconut Grove,' the affidavit states, according to WSVN. According to the affidavit, Cremasco Cicero and his mother were allegedly seen on surveillance footage returning to the apartment around 10:32 p.m. Surveillance footage allegedly showed Cremasco Cicero entering the elevator alone around 4:26 a.m. with bloody clothes and a knife, the Herald reported.
