SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia have announced a historic expansion of their upcoming cookie lineup, introducing both their first-ever treat for pets and their first allergy-friendly cookie option. Ahead of the 2027 season, the organization is debuting 'Patch Pals,' a soft-baked blueberry-muffin flavored cookie created specifically for dogs. Alongside the new pet treat, the Girl Scouts are introducing 'Girl Scout Sparkables,' a crunchy oatmeal chocolate chip cookie formulated to avoid the nine major food allergens. Both additions aim to make the annual tradition more inclusive for families and their pets. Unlike traditional favorites, these two new specialty items will be available exclusively online for direct shipping starting January 12, 2027. All proceeds from local purchases continue to support regional Girl Scout councils and troops, funding leadership development, community service projects, and outdoor adventures.
