PMLF To Hold Youm-e-Azadi Caravan On 14 August

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Aug, 2026) Pakistan Milli Labour Federation (PMLF) will organize a Youm-e-Azadi Caravan on Mall Road on August 14 under the slogan 'Azadi ka paigham: La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah ka nizam.' At the conclusion of the caravan, a public gathering will be held. The leadership of the PMLF and representatives of various labour organizations will address the audience. The rally aims to promote national unity, workers' solidarity and awareness of the importance of independence. A large number of PMLF workers, representatives of labour organisations, members of the working class, government and semi-government employees and citizens are expected to participate. Addressing a meeting of PMLF and Milli Rickshaw Union (MRU) Lahore, PMLF President Rana Shamshad said Independence Day is not merely an occasion for celebration but also an opportunity to renew the national commitment to Pakistan. He said the sacrifices of the country's founders and elders must be remembered and their spirit reflected through collective efforts for Pakistan's security, stability, development and prosperity. PMML Secretary General Abdul Hameed Gujjar said Pakistan is a vibrant and capable nation with enormous potential. He stressed the need for unity, hard work and national commitment to put the country on the path of sustainable progress. He said Independence Day reminds citizens of their national responsibilities and calls for a renewed commitment to strengthening the country.
