Three killed in DG Khan road accident
Three people were killed and four others injured in a road accident on the Dera-Quetta Road near the Grid Station at the Sakhi Sarwar Toll Plaza on Sunday, rescue officials said.
According to Rescue 1122 District Emergency Officer Engineer Ahmad Kamal, the accident occurred at around 11am when two motorcycles collided, reportedly due to speeding. One of the motorcycles overturned and struck an oncoming passenger van.
Three people, identified as 17-year-old Ashfaq, 18-year-old Jahangir and 32-year-old Shahid, died at the scene. The deceased were residents of Dajal in Rajanpur district.
Four others - Shahzaib, Zeeshan, Muhammad Ismail and Muhammad Akbar - sustained injuries and were shifted to Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital for treatment. The victims were reportedly from Dajal and Musa Khel. Rescue teams shifted the bodies to the hospital for identification and medico-legal formalities before handing them over to the families.
Police from Sadar and Sakhi Sarwar stations also reached the scene and launched an investigation into the accident.
