Chairman, National Assembly Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat and Divisional President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Member National Assembly (MNA) Malik Abrar Ahmed, accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary for Zakat and Ushr Punjab, Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Malik Iftikhar Ahmed and MPA Malik Mansoor Afsar, inaugurated the newly completed Dhok Banaras Road project here on Sunday.
The infrastructure project stretching from Range Road to Dhok Banaras and Millat Abad was completed at a cost of Rs 50 million. The development included complete road reconstruction and the establishment of an extensive drainage system along both sides to prevent urban flooding and water logging.
Addressing the gathering, Malik Abrar emphasized that fulfilling electoral commitments and upgrading civic infrastructure remained the government's foremost priorities. He noted that the newly constructed corridor would significantly improve traffic flow and resolve long-standing commute and drainage issues for local residents.
Parliamentary Secretary, Malik Iftikhar Ahmed reiterated their resolve to expedite development initiatives across the constituency, ensuring sustainable public welfare and civic facilitation. A large number of local elders, party workers, and residents attended the ceremony.
