Lima Memorial associates collect school supplies for Children's Developmental Center

LIMA, OH (WLIO) — Students at the Children's Developmental Center are getting some needed supplies ahead of the new school year. For about 20 years, the Lima Memorial Auxiliary has held a supply drive to collect items for the center. This year, the Auxiliary was joined by the Engage Committee and the Lima Memorial Foundation in collecting supplies for students. The Children's Developmental Center is located within Lima Memorial Health System and serves children with developmental concerns from 18 months through kindergarten. The annual supply drive gives Lima Memorial associates an opportunity to support the program by providing needed snacks, school supplies and cleaning products. 'It is great not only just as an associate but seeing everyone all the other associates, providers, volunteers, give back to our community and we really come together and we've had a great success this donation, this supply drive this year. So it's been outstanding,' says Lauren Lammers, H.R.I.S. specialist. 'We're so appreciative of this donation. It's a great way to start off our school year which starts tomorrow with students. As a non-profit, we try to keep our expenses to a minimum for our families and in general. So, these supplies go a long way to support our efforts to get things going and maximize our funding,' says Elisha Reineke, Ex. Dir. Children's Developmental Center. The Developmental Center will have about 30 students this school year.-
