WEST FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Fire Investigator John Neeb has been named the West Fargo Fire Department's Firefighter of the Year. Neeb was selected by his peers and will be honored at the annual West Fargo Exchange Club Luncheon, the department announced. 'Fire Investigator John Neeb has been an invaluable member of our Community Risk Reduction Division,' Chief Dan Fuller said in a statement. 'His combination of technical knowledge, investigative expertise, leadership, and willingness to assist others has left a lasting impact on our department and the entire City of West Fargo.' Neeb has served in the fire service since 2015. He holds certifications as an ICC Fire Inspector I, IAAI Certified Fire Investigator, CPR instructor and certified car seat installation technician. He also serves as president of the North Dakota Fire Prevention Association. As a fire investigation K-9 handler, Neeb and his partner, K-9 Mika, have investigated hundreds of fires across the tri-state area, assisting departments in determining the origin and cause of fires. Off duty, Neeb is a husband and father who enjoys spending time with his family. He also runs his own business. Neeb is a graduate of North Dakota State University and grew up in Fridley, Minnesota.
