Girl Scouts Just Announced 2 New Cookies—and One Is Made for Dogs

The first-ever offerings will be available in 2027. Girl Scout cookie fans, good news! Next year's lineup will offer even more sweet treats—for you and your pup. The Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) just announced that it's adding two new cookies to the 2027 roster: Patch Pals and Sparkables. The new Sparkables cookie is the organization's first-ever cookie designed for families navigating common food allergies. The GSUSA developed the recipe—which features a crunchy oatmeal cookie base, chocolate chips, and colorful sprinkles—with cookie company Partake in a facility designed to avoid the nine major food allergens (milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, and sesame). And in the spirit of inclusivity, the GSUSA is also introducing a cookie for pets. Developed in partnership with dog subscription box company Bark, Patch Pals are soft-baked blueberry muffin-flavored treats. Each cookie is designed to look like cute patches, representing Girl Scouting experiences. Unlike other staple offerings such as Thin Mints and Samoas, Sparkables and Patch Pals will be available for purchase online only during Girl Scout Cookie season, which runs nationally from January through April, with exact dates varying by your local council.
