Moshood Oshun distributed mini-buses, tricycles, sewing machines, deep freezers and other income-generating assets to artisans, traders, small-business operators and skilled workers on Saturday. Oshun said that good representation should go beyond what happens in the parliament in Abuja. He said lawmakers have a responsibility to listen to the people they represent and help improve their lives in practical ways. He explained that providing productive assets gives people the chance to become economically independent and contribute to their communities. The items will help recipients earn income through transportation, expand existing businesses or start new ones. Oshun said this kind of grassroots intervention bridges the gap between national policymaking and what communities actually need. He stressed that the real measure of public service is how it affects people's lives. The initiative comes as many households and small businesses across Nigeria struggle with high costs and limited access to capital. In Lagos, traders, tailors, food vendors and transport operators depend on daily business activities to survive. Oshun said he would keep supporting efforts to strengthen livelihoods and create economic opportunities across his constituency.
