The service enables the customer to adopt an integrated security model covering prevention, detection, incident response, and vulnerability management. Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Defender for Cloud licenses, together with any required tools, are not included and remain the customer's responsibility. What the implementation includes Activation and configuration of Microsoft Defender for Cloud in the customer's tenant. Onboarding of pilot servers to Azure Arc. Activation of the Defender for Cloud Server plan leveraging the Azure subscription. Enablement of advanced protection capabilities, including antivirus, EDR, firewall, web protection, and basic application control. Activation and configuration of integrated Vulnerability Management. Creation of Endpoint Security policies. Definition of alerting and notifications. Functional testing and validation of pilot devices. Deliverables Microsoft Defender for Cloud activated and configured in the customer's tenant. Pilot servers onboarded to Azure Arc with the Defender for Cloud Server plan enabled. Advanced protection enabled: antivirus, EDR, firewall, web protection, and application control (basic). Configured Vulnerability Management. Endpoint Security policies and alerting/notification rules. Validated pilot devices with completed functional testing. Customer requirements Active Azure subscription. Pilot Windows Server devices identified for onboarding. Network connectivity from pilot servers to Azure. Required administrative access on the Azure subscription and target servers. Licenses, tools, certifications, and software beyond what is listed are not included unless otherwise specified. This service does not include onboarding of servers beyond the agreed pilot scope, advanced incident response or forensics, full 24/7 SOC management, or ongoing operational management after the pilot validation.
