Kaysar Wali, a young Uygur artist, has launched a business with his team on Liuxing Street in Yining City, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Using local Ili clay as raw material, he incorporates timeless Atlas patterns into ceramic designs, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics.
Committed to promoting and passing down intangible cultural heritage, Kaysar studied ceramic-firing techniques under intangible cultural heritage masters and artisans in Jingdezhen after graduating from university. Today, his ceramic brand, which features Atlas silk patterns, has opened outlets in Tekes, Hotan and other places. He also wants to develop more products featuring Xinjiang-themed elements, enabling visitors to experience the rich and diverse appeal of Xinjiang's culture.
