CMA CGM and China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand cooperation across ports, infrastructure, logistics and transport projects in international markets. The agreement covers port and hinterland infrastructure, multimodal logistics, transport, digital innovation and energy-transition initiatives. The two companies plan to explore opportunities across Africa, China, Latin America and Southeast Asia. The partnership will also target integrated supply-chain projects, including logistics corridors, dry ports, inland platforms, container depots and warehousing facilities. The aim is to strengthen connections between seaports and inland markets while improving overall logistics efficiency. Under the agreement, CMA CGM could provide shipping and logistics services supporting CCCC construction projects in various markets. The companies already have experience working together on African port developments, including Lekki Freeport in Nigeria and Kribi Container Terminal in Cameroon. The new cooperation framework is expected to broaden their existing relationship and create opportunities for joint development of port and logistics infrastructure in emerging markets.
