Quran Khawani, special prayers held at mosques on Defence & Martyrs' Day Religious scholars have said that the great sacrifices of the martyrs are a guiding light for the nation and can never be forgotten. In connection with the Defence and Martyrs' Day being observed today, they said that those who laid down their lives for the defence and peace of the country are a source of pride for the entire nation. They said the sacrifices of the martyrs will always be remembered, while the nation will remain united for the security and stability of the country. On the occasion, Quran Khawani and special prayers were also organized by the religious scholars at mosques for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for the security, stability and prosperity of the country.
