Reports about Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's possible engagement and marriage have surfaced, with unverified claims linking the development to the European country of Liechtenstein.
According to media reports, President Asif Ali Zardari has travelled to Liechtenstein along with other family members, allegedly to discuss and finalise the date for his son's wedding.
The reports further claim that Bilawal's purported fiancée is from Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, and that the wedding could take place towards the end of this year.
However, the Pakistan Peoples Party has categorically rejected the reports.
Karachi Mayor and PPP spokesperson Murtaza Wahab said the reports concerning Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's engagement or marriage were 'incorrect and unfounded.'
No official announcement regarding Bilawal's engagement or wedding has been made by him or his family so far. As a result, the claims circulating about a possible Liechtenstein connection remain unverified, while the PPP's denial is currently the official position.
Liechtenstein is a small sovereign state in Western Europe located between Switzerland and Austria. Its capital, Vaduz, is the country's political and administrative centre.
