Dysart Unified needs to share academic successes to support bond request

OPINION — I read Delarita Ford's front-page article: DUSD teaches voters about latest bond proposition. We have lived in Surprise for more than a decade and I believe few district propositions have been successful. Approximately one-half of all property taxes support DUSD. One of the major reasons for the failure to pass propositions is because taxpayers are kept in the dark regarding student academic scholarship. I ask, what percentage of students are proficient in math, science and English? Where does DUSD rank against other school districts in the county and beyond?
