Mild and humid early this week before becoming wet and ‘very windy', Met Éireann says

The first half of the week will be 'mild and humid' with plenty of dry spells before rainy and 'very windy' conditions take over from Thursday, according to Met Éireann. A cold front will be punctured by warm air along the west and north of the country on Monday, bringing more settled and humid conditions before cooler and rainier weather takes over later in the week. Tomorrow will begin cloudy before sunnier spells emerge in the afternoon with dry spells and temperatures of 18C to 23C. Monday evening will remain warm with dry weather and clear spells and temperatures ranging from 13C to 16C. Tuesday will see persistent rain across Connacht and Ulster counties with an overall cloudy day in store and temperatures between 17C and 20C. Clouds will continue into the night across the west and northwest, dry elsewhere, with temperature ranging from 11C to 14C. Wednesday is forecast to be 'cloudy, wet and unsettled' to start, but wet weather will ease towards the afternoon. Temperatures will reach highs of 14C to 17. Thursday is when the unsettled turn is set to take over along with 'wet and possibly very windy conditions' predicted to break up the warm and settled forecast for the week ahead.
