Top 30 accounting firm UHY has combined with Adamson & Co., the largest independently owned CPA firm in Corpus Christi, TX.
Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed. Managing partners Austin Adamson, Jennifer Perales, and Trevor Prewett will join UHY along with the firm's partners and staff.
This is Farmington Hills, MI-based UHY's seventh M&A deal in 2026. The firm has also added Michigan CFO Associates, RBT CPAs, Larson Tax Partners, CMJ LLP, Manley Garvin, and Anderson, Lower, Whitlow PC this year.
UHY received private equity backing from Boston-based investment firm Summit Partners in late 2024.
UHY says the addition of Adamson & Co. strengthens its ability to serve middle-market businesses, closely held companies, entrepreneurs, and individuals with expanded accounting, tax, advisory, and consulting services.

Founded by Craig Adamson, Adamson & Co. has advised businesses, municipalities, nonprofit organizations, and individuals across South Texas since 1981. The firm provides comprehensive auditing, tax, and advisory services tailored to the region's key industries and economic drivers.

Through this deal, clients will benefit from an expanded suite of services, including business consulting, cybersecurity, transaction advisory, wealth management, and other specialized solutions, officials say.
