Little, one of Africa's leading mobility platforms, has reaffirmed its commitment to Uganda and to providing reliable, convenient and accessible transport solutions for people across the country.
As Uganda's mobility needs continue to grow and change, people need a transport service they can count on every day. Whether it is getting to work, attending an important meeting, travelling to the airport or simply getting around the city, Little is focused on making every journey easier and more convenient.
Little is here for Uganda, and we are committed for the long term.
For riders, that commitment means making it easier to get where they need to go with a service that positions convenience, reliability and safety at the centre of the experience.
'With a busy schedule, having a transport service I can depend on makes a real difference,' said Monica, a Little rider in Kampala. 'Whether I am heading to work, attending an important meeting or running errands around the city, I value the peace of mind that comes with knowing I can rely on Little. It has become a convenient and dependable part of how I move around Kampala.'
For Little, mobility is about more than simply getting from one place to another. It is about giving people the confidence to plan their day knowing that transport is available when they need it.
'Mobility is not simply about getting from one point to another. It is about giving people the confidence to plan their day knowing they have access to transport they can depend on,' said Casper Njoga, Country Manager, Little Uganda. 'That is what we are building with Little. We are committed to Uganda and to creating a mobility experience that works for both riders and driver-partners. We are here to serve the
market, understand what our customers need, and keep improving the experience.'
A better opportunity for driver-partners
Little's commitment extends beyond riders to its driver-partners, with the lowest commission rates in the market and instant access to earnings, hence creating a stronger ecosystem that supports the people behind every journey.
The company believes that when driver-partners have a positive experience, customers benefit too.
'Little has given us more opportunities to earn while giving us flexibility and faster access to our earnings,' said Joseph, a Little driver-partner in Uganda. 'We have a very good relationship with Little, and that allows us to offer exemplary services to our clients. For customers who value a smooth experience and good interaction with drivers, Little is your go to ride app.'
As Little continues to grow its footprint in Uganda, the company remains committed to investing in platform accessibility, service quality and strategic partnerships that make everyday movement simpler and more dependable.
'Ugandans deserve a mobility service they can count on every day,' said Njoga. 'That is the commitment we are making. Little is here, we are listening to our customers and driver-partners, and we are continuing to invest in making mobility better for Uganda.'
Uber exits
Uber officially exited Uganda on September 2, 2026, winding down its operations in the country after a decade of service. The company simultaneously pulled out of Nigeria, following what it described as a 'thorough review' of its business priorities, investment strategies, and a global organizational restructuring..
Uber's exit now gives other players the opportunity the gaps that may be left behind.
