The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided against granting no-objection certificates (NOCs) to national cricketers seeking to participate in the Afghanistan Premier League (APL), sources said. Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram was reportedly approached for a mentor position in the competition but opted not to accept the offer, choosing to respect the PCB's policy. The board has also maintained its decision not to permit Pakistan's national players to take part in the tournament. Meanwhile, former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has joined the APL and featured in the competition as a British citizen.
