Poll Bludger's track of all national voting surveys shows the Coalition's primary vote has dropped about 10 percentage points since the last election as the Liberals and Nationals abandoned net zero and cosied up to One Nation, shedding inner urban, professionals and suburban aspirational migrants to the Labor Party. During the same period, the Labor vote has dropped steadily, but more slowly, by about 7 percentage points. While Labor gained these Coalition voters, the government's failure to control rising costs of living and record levels of migration saw big swings to One Nation from many traditionally Labor-voting tradies and unskilled blue-collar workers, along with battlers on welfare living the outer suburbs and provincial city seats.
