By Faisal Town Group marked another significant milestone in community development with the inauguration of Jamia Masjid Hazrat Ali (R.A.) at Faisal Hills on Friday, October 9, 2026. With a capacity to accommodate more than 22,000 worshippers, the mosque is described by the developer as the second-largest in the Islamabad–Rawalpindi region after Faisal Mosque. The mosque was formally opened ahead of Friday prayers. Chairman of Faisal Town Group, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, attended the inauguration and joined worshippers in offering special prayers for Pakistan's peace, progress and prosperity. The magnificent mosque combines traditional Islamic architecture with contemporary design, offering a spacious and peaceful environment for worshippers. Its striking golden dome, intricate gold-foil detailing and exquisite chandeliers reflect the richness of Islamic art and craftsmanship. The thoughtfully designed interiors and spacious prayer halls create an atmosphere of serenity, grandeur and spiritual reflection. Designed to accommodate the spiritual needs of the wider community, the mosque features a dedicated prayer hall for women with a separate entrance, ensuring privacy, comfort and convenient access for female worshippers. Additional facilities include parking for approximately 300 vehicles, ablution arrangements for 200 worshippers at a time and a designated area for funeral prayers. Beyond daily prayers, the mosque complex also houses a madrassa, an Islamic library and dedicated community spaces, establishing it as a centre for religious education, spiritual learning and community engagement. The mosque is situated within Faisal Hills, an internationally award-winning master-planned development by Faisal Town Group, strategically located on Main GT Road near Taxila, at the foothills of the Margalla Hills, with convenient connectivity to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Wah Cantt and Attock. Faisal Hills received the prestigious Best Master Plan Pakistan award at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2026–2027, recognising its integrated approach to modern urban development.
