The Belgian won 6-7(4) 6-3 6-0 6-3 in two hours and 45 minutes of play, taking revenge on the blue after the defeat in the sprint in the Masters 1000 in Cincinnati. In the round of 16 Blockx will face Francisco Cerundolo, protagonist of a comeback against Taylor Fritz, seeded number 9 in the draw.
