1997 White Volkswagen Transporter for sale for £4,000 No VAT in MALDON, Essex

Description Had the vehicle since 2004 have kept it mechanically maintained. It had the engine reconditioned at 167,000 miles after it jumped a tooth and bent the valves so the engine at present has only done 80,000 and not been driven hard or laden with heavy loads. It has had new front shocks all new front and rear brake pipes hard and flexible recent, new hand brake cables recent, new discs all round, new rear brake callipers recent, new brake servo recent, new timing belt recent, reconditioned diesel pump and injectors recent, new water pump recent. the rear load compartment has been lined with purpose made ply panelling. It has towbar with working plugin electrics. It had a full body respray 2 years ago. It has had the sills welded in places to pass MOT but have not bothered to repaint body as selling . Faults as follows are hot and cold heater selector dial not operating really needs new heater selector panel ,slight crack in windscreen not MOT failure ,Driver seat perished but taped up temporarily, instrument cluster common fault temp gauge not working and oil light flashing had cluster out and it has burnt out voltage regulator really needs new cluster tried to get one but as one guy said like hens teeth second hand but are available new if willing to pay. I also did the immobiliser delete because starting problems so it has a switch to add power and then normal key ignition. It is a long wheelbase the front passenger seat folds forward so you can carry long objects. A very reliable and a great van to drive .
