FDA One-Window Counter resolves 779 Public Cases in Eight Months

Faisalabad,(Parliament Times): The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) continues to provide citizens with prompt, transparent and convenient relief through its One Window Counter. During the last eight months, a total of 779 applicants were provided relief in matters relating to various departments through the One Window Counter, while 40 applications are currently under process in different departments. This was revealed during a meeting chaired by Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhary, in which the performance of various FDA departments, progress on citizens' applications and pending matters were reviewed in detail. The meeting was attended by Additional Director General Qaiser Abas Rind, Chief Engineer Mehr Ayub, Directors Junaid Hassan Manj, Asma Mohsin, Sohail Maqsood Pannu, Yasir Ejaz Chattha, Asim Mahmood and Afnan Saeed Sandhu, Deputy Director IT Abdullah Noor and other officers. The meeting was briefed that from January to August this year, relief was provided to 596 applicants by State Management-I, 49 by Town Planning-I, 88 by Town Planning-II, and 46 applicants by the Katchi Abadies Department. The matters included approval of building plans, transfer of properties, inheritance transfers, commercialization of properties, implementation of court decrees, issuance of ownership certificates and town planning reports, matters relating to private housing schemes and other related issues. Expressing satisfaction over the performance of the One Window Counter, Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhary said that it is the institution's responsibility to resolve citizens' issues at a single location instead of making them visit different offices repeatedly. He directed the officers to ensure that every application received at the One Window Counter is processed and disposed of on merit, transparently and within the stipulated timeframe. He emphasized that there should be no unnecessary delay in applications under process. Muhammad Asif Chaudhary said that, in line with the Government of Punjab's policy of good governance, transparency and provision of immediate relief to citizens, administrative affairs at FDA are being further streamlined and made more efficient through modern reforms. He stressed that the positive outcomes of these reforms should be clearly visible to the citizens. The DG FDA directed the concerned officers to regularly monitor the performance of the One Window Counter, maintain a proper record of the processing and disposal of applications, and keep citizens informed about the progress of their applications in a timely manner. He further directed that, while maintaining the continuity of good performance, any administrative or technical obstacles should be removed immediately. He expressed his resolve that all available resources would be utilized to transform FDA into a transparent, efficient, modern and citizen-friendly institution and that no negligence or unnecessary delay in resolving legitimate public grievances would be tolerated.
