The Legend of Zelda Is the Only Big Name Willing to Go Up Against GTA 6 in November

We've spent the best part of 2026 banging on about how no major publishers are willing to release their games anywhere near GTA 6 — but Nintendo's not cut from the same cloth. You've probably already seen the news, but The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2 now has a confirmed launch date; it arrives worldwide on the 5th November, just two weeks before Rockstar's juggernaut lands. It's just an interesting move, really. GTA 6 obviously isn't releasing on Nintendo hardware, and so it probably isn't viewed as direct competition for what will no doubt be the platform holder's biggest game of the year.
