The share of online sales of special equipment on Avito Special Equipment has grown from 2-3% to about 13% in five years. According to the company, the growth of the indicator is associated with a change in customer habits and a restructuring of the supply structure in the market after 2022. At the same time, digital platforms are gradually turning from a seller's search tool into a channel of interaction with him at different stages of the transaction. Even before contacting the seller, buyers can study offers in different regions, compare prices and equipment, assess the condition of equipment and information about the supplier, and choose a financing method. On one site, you can calculate the terms of the lease, submit a request or pre—order, arrange a lease, and in some cases, make a payment. "Online channels are becoming an important part of the customer journey and directly influence the purchase or rental decision," Avito commented. Digital channels give manufacturers direct access to potential buyers and allow them to assess demand for individual models in different regions. For dealers, they become an additional source of interested customers, and Pre-ordering allows you to translate initial interest in a new model into specific and measurable demand. The online rental segment is developing separately. The user can specify the type of work, the location of the facility, the time, the number of shifts and the necessary additional services. In the next three to five years, the customer's path in the market of special equipment will continue to change, Avito said. It is expected that the focus will shift from finding the optimal price and suitable equipment to convenience, speed and transparency of the entire transaction. The user's path — from the first search to the conclusion of the contract — will be built as a single digital process. Issues related to the changing market of special equipment and the development of industry-specific digital solutions will be the focus of attention of the professional community at the National Exhibition-Forum "The Business of Special Equipment", which will be held from September 29 to October 1, 2026 in Moscow at the Lukoil Arena.
