Traffic Diversions Announced At Khanna Pul, Lehtrar Road Due To Construction

Islamabad Traffic Police has advised motorists to use alternative routes via Faizabad, Rawal Dam Chowk, Park Road and Ghauri Town Link Road, allowing an extra 20 to 25 minutes for travel. ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Oct, 2026) Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced traffic diversions at Khanna Pul and Lehtrar Road from Monday until further orders due to ongoing construction work, advising motorists to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience. An ITP official told that traffic heading towards Tramri Chowk, Lehtrar Road and Ali Pur should use Faizabad, Rawal Dam Chowk and Park Road as alternative routes. Similarly, motorists travelling from Khanna Pul towards the Islamabad Expressway have been advised to use Ghauri Town Link Road. The official said the diversions would remain in place until further orders to facilitate construction work and manage traffic movement in the affected areas. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad advised citizens to allow an additional 20 to 25 minutes for their journeys and plan their travel accordingly. He said ITP personnel would remain deployed at key points to guide motorists and ensure smooth traffic movement.
