Mike Tomlin heaps massive praise on Bills' Josh Allen ahead of NFL season

It's no secret the Buffalo Bills' Josh Allen is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. He's a freak of nature and is trying to lead the Bills to their first Super Bowl victory in franchise history this season. He's a big fan of Allen and would want to coach him more than any other quarterback in the league. 'I'd take Josh Allen,' Tomlin said, per Pro Football Focus on X. 'It'd be Josh for me, man. It just seems like he's at his best in the most critical moments. Late in the games, he finds a way to do it. And he can do it with his arms; he can do it with his legs. He looks like, not only does he want it, he needs it. He looks like he's built for it. I got a lot of respect for that dude. That's the dude as far as I'm concerned.' Allen had a fantastic 2025 season, finishing with 3,668 yards through the air, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He added 579 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns. Allen led the Bills to the AFC divisional round of the playoffs before losing to the Denver Broncos in overtime. As long as he's the Bills' quarterback, they'll have a shot at the Super Bowl every season. The Bills will open their 2026 campaign this Sunday, Sept. 13, on the road against the Houston Texans.
