Gardaí investigating alleged serious assault in Meath

The alarm was raised shortly after 7am this morning A man (40s) has been arrested following an alleged serious assault at a house in Ballivor. Gardaí were called to the scene shortly after 7am this morning. Two men, in their 20s and 40s, were taken to hospital for treatment, one for minor injuries and one for serious injuries. A technical examination of the scene has been conducted. The man in his 40s has since been released from hospital. He has been arrested and is being detained at a station in the Garda Eastern Region under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
