Dirt bike rider seriously injured in Plainfield crash

Plainfield Police say a man from the Moosup section of town was trespassing while riding a dirt bike at a quarry and is now seriously injured. The man, identified as Zackery Montigny, 34, was with four other riders when he went down a 17-foot tall ridge Monday. He was found seriously injured and taken to Backus Hospital for treatment Representatives for the property on-site at Rawson Materials were later contacted. The owner said they were not given permission to be on the property and that they were trespassing despite marked "Private Property" and "No Trespassing" signs. Police had to break a chain in order to get through a fence into the property.
