27 Rescue 1122 KP officials promoted

DLP Report PESHAWAR Twenty-seven officers and officials of Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were promoted at a ceremony held at the service's provincial headquarters here on Tuesday, said a handout. The statement said the Secretary Relief, Rehabilitation and Settlement Sohail Khan and Additional Secretary Relief Zia-ur-Rehman attended the ceremony as special guests. They were presented with a guard of honour by a contingent of Rescue 1122 personnel on their arrival. Secretary Sohail Khan and Director General Rescue 1122 Shah Fahad pinned the new rank badges on the uniforms of the promoted officers and officials. According to the decisions of the Departmental Promotion Committee, one Procurement Officer was promoted to Deputy Director Procurement (BPS-18), seven Emergency Officers to District Emergency Officer (BPS-18), and 19 Station House Incharges to Emergency Officer (BPS-17). Addressing the ceremony, Mr Sohail congratulated the promoted personnel and praised Rescue 1122 staff for serving the public with courage, dedication and determination, particularly in difficult and dangerous situations. He urged the officers and officials to enhance their professional skills through higher education, training courses and professional certifications. He said work would also be undertaken on a fast-track promotion mechanism to encourage personnel who acquire additional qualifications and professional skills. The secretary said genuine issues of Rescue 1122 personnel would be addressed on a priority basis, adding that merit, seniority and transparency would be ensured in promotions, postings and other departmental matters. Mr Shah Fahad said recruitment in Rescue 1122 had recently been completed on merit and in a transparent manner in accordance with the directions of the chief minister, chief secretary and provincial minister for relief. He described the newly recruited batch as one of the institution's strongest merit-based recruitments and expressed confidence that the trained personnel would help provide timely, effective and professional emergency services. The DG also congratulated the promoted officials and urged them to discharge their new responsibilities with greater commitment and professionalism. He said measures for the welfare and professional development of personnel would continue. The ceremony concluded with prayers and best wishes for the promoted officers and officials, while participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Rescue 1122 as a modern and effective emergency service.
