Apple's iPhone 17 lineup is receiving larger discounts across several countries just days before the company's September 9 event, as retailers move to clear existing stock ahead of the expected iPhone 18 and iPhone Fold launches. The latest reductions take some iPhone 17 models to their lowest prices yet. They could also become more significant if reports of higher iPhone 18 Pro pricing prove accurate. Keep in mind that the prices below have been converted from their GBP and EUR values, which are typically higher than US prices. Discounts Get Bigger in the UK Amazon UK has increased its iPhone 17 discounts compared with last week. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are now approximately $203 off their original launch prices, compared with around $135 off last week. The standard iPhone 17, which was not discounted last week, is now about $135 off. The 512GB iPhone Air has received the largest reduction, with its price cut by approximately $270. Currys and John Lewis are also offering around $135 off the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Those discounts remain unchanged from last week but could change as Apple's September 9 announcement approaches. MediaMarkt Spain is selling the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro Max for approximately $1,532, representing a discount of about $174, or 10.2%, from its launch price. In Germany, MediaMarkt is offering the iPhone 17 Pro for approximately $1,369 and the iPhone 17 Pro Max for around $1,543. Both models are discounted by roughly $139. PcComponentes in Spain is selling the iPhone 17 Pro for approximately $1,427, a saving of around $105. The USD figures are approximate conversions based on current exchange rates. iPhone 17 is the Better Buy The iPhone 17 family makes more sense to buy at the moment given the attractive price discounts. As with most generational updates, the iPhone 18 is not expected to be a significant leap from the iPhone 17 series and will also be more expensive this year due to the ongoing global memory crisis. The iPhone 17 is also known to be one of the most upgraded phones in Apple's lineup over the recent years.
