Mississippi's Velvet Season is scheduled for September 11-13, 2026, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP). The season is open to archery hunters who can harvest one legal buck in velvet, which counts toward their annual antlered deer limit. A Velvet Season Permit is required to hunt during these dates.
