Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios have partnered on the project, which is inspired by true events and explores themes of crime, guilt and justice. The collaboration brings together Junglee Pictures, known for films including Raazi and Talvar, and Pen Studios, which has backed major productions such as RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi. Daayra set for September release Times Group managing director Vineet Jain described the collaboration with Pen Studios as an exciting opportunity to develop story-driven Indian cinema.
