Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has found herself at the centre of fresh speculation after reports claimed she was set to star in filmmaker Arati Kadav's upcoming project. However, the reports have been described as untrue, with Kareena reportedly not associated with the film being produced by Harman Baweja. According to Bollywood Hungama, a source clarified that there is currently no confirmation of Kareena's involvement in Kadav's project. 'The news of Kareena Kapoor being a part of Aarti Kadav's film, produced by Harman Baweja, is untrue,' the source said. The Heroin star is set to appear next in filmmaker Meghna Gulzar's upcoming crime drama Daayra, alongside actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios have partnered on the project, which is inspired by true events and explores themes of crime, guilt and justice. The collaboration brings together Junglee Pictures, known for films including Raazi and Talvar, and Pen Studios, which has backed major productions such as RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi. Daayra set for September release Times Group managing director Vineet Jain described the collaboration with Pen Studios as an exciting opportunity to develop story-driven Indian cinema. Jain also praised Gulzar's previous work with Junglee Pictures on Raazi and Talvar, saying the new partnership would expand the companies' vision for Indian storytelling. Daayra is scheduled to hit cinemas on September 18. For now, there is no confirmed information linking Kareena Kapoor Khan to Arati Kadav's upcoming film, despite the recent speculation.
