Why did the Met not pursue Thomas Markle?' Meghan Markle lands in trouble The father of Meghan Markle, as he's more often called is facing his own legal trouble, yet his association to his daughter is forcing her name dragged through the mud too. The one expert that drew the comparison is none other than rroyal expert Tom Sykes, the author of The Royalist Substack, and Editor-at-large at the Daily Beast. He started this tirade of questions in a writeup that questioned why 'nothing was done sooner'. Similar sentiments are also going around social media and are making some experts question why Meghan being a champion of women agreed to stay silent in the first place. As part of Mr Sykes questions though, he maintained less of an accusatory stance and simply asked 'did the Met not pursue Thomas Markle in an attempt to limit embarrassment for the royals?' This has been shared despite Mr Sykes, in a later breath, acknowledging the limitations the British faced when news of his alleged child porn collection came to light in 2019. 'My own sense is that there is a limit to how far one can expect a British police force to pursue a single letter about a US citizen who had never set foot in the United Kingdom and was living in Mexico,' he said. However, the fact that Meghan was still a working member of the British Royal Family also means her immediate surrounding should have been taken care of. Especially given the way the transgressions Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been accused of, were handled. His concluding remarks were simply, 'the question has to be asked: did the Met not pursue Thomas Markle in an attempt to limit embarrassment for the royals?'
