Tradition is to meet inclusivity at the 68th Bansha Agricultural Show this week in one of the biggest and best agricultural gatherings of the summer season in Tipperary. The 68th Bansha Agricultural and Industrial Show returns to the Premier County on Wednesday, August 19, bringing its signature mix of rural heritage, high-stakes competition, and community spirit. Gates open from 9am until 7pm, offering a full day of action and entertainment for the whole family. 'What makes Bansha truly special is its ability to honour decades of tradition while constantly evolving to welcome everyone,' said spokesperson Richie Bourke. 'This year features brilliant new additions to the line-up, ensuring it remains a standout event in the Irish summer calendar.' The show is proud to host Ireland's only ASD mobile sensory unit. 'This vital, accessible space is the only unit of its kind in Ireland. Its presence is made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of the McCarthy family from Main Street, Bansha,' said Mr Bourke. The equine rings feature exciting variety this year. Riders can compete in the brand-new bitless riding class, promoting modern horse-friendly trends, as well as the elegant new side-saddle class, bringing a beautiful, classic discipline back to the forefront. The schedule also features the highly competitive racehorse to riding horse class. 'Show organisers are absolutely delighted to welcome the legendary Scarteen Hunt, who will present this year's hounds,' said Mr Bourke. 'Built on deep history and traditions, these famous hounds have been hunted by the Ryan family for over 300 years. It is fantastic to see this pillar of rural sport in close collaboration with our annual show.'
