Funeral prayers of killed sub-inspector held at Police Lines Headquarters

RAWALPINDI, Aug 13 (APP): Funeral prayers of Sub-Inspector, Muhammad Akram, were offered at the Police Lines Headquarters here on Thursday. The funeral prayer was attended by City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera, Superintendent of Police (SP)Headquarters, SP Security and a large number of senior police officers and personnel. CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera met the deceased officer's son and other family members and expressed his condolences. The body of assassinated Sub-Inspector, Muhammad Akram, was recovered from his residential room a day earlier. A murder case has been registered at Ratta Amral Police Station, while investigators were probing the incident from all possible angles. Police said that efforts were underway to identify and arrest those involved in the incident and bring them to justice in accordance with the law. The body of the deceased police officer was later shifted to his native town of Mianwali for burial.
