Berger Paints India will commence commercial production at its new, fully automated solvent-based paint manufacturing facility in Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh, from Wednesday, September 9, the company said in an exchange filing.The state-of-the-art facility has an annual production capacity of 36,000 tonnes. Berger Paints has invested more than ₹188 crore to set up the manufacturing plant, according to the company's exchange filing.The facility is located at Plot No. 262, Industrial Growth Centre, Thumukunta Village, Hindupur, in Andhra Pradesh's Sri Sathya Sai district. The company said the plant is fully automated and is designed for solvent-based paint manufacturing.The commencement of commercial production at the Hindupur facility comes as Berger Paints expands its manufacturing capacity with the addition of the new plant.For the June quarter, Berger Paints reported a consolidated net profit of ₹404 crore on revenues of ₹3,584 crore.The company's shares ended lower in Tuesday's trading session. The stock was down 1.19% at ₹478.75 apiece on the National Stock Exchange as of 4:00 pm on September 8, 2026.
