The Westminster Model United Nations Society has brought pride to Pakistan by winning eight awards at the Global Model UN Singapore 2026.
According to the statement, eight out of 10 student delegates from the delegation received awards at the international conference, held from August 11 to 15, 2026.
Representing Pakistan at the Suntec City Convention Centre in Singapore, the Westminster delegation joined students from around the world for sessions focused on diplomacy, debate, public speaking and decision-making.
One Pakistani delegate was also honoured with the prestigious Best Delegate award for outstanding performance in committee work, diplomacy, negotiation, leadership and representation.
The achievement was especially notable as two of the delegates, Asna Ahmad Alvi and Rian, were only 12 years old. Their performance stood out in a highly competitive international setting.
The students were praised for their confidence, public speaking ability, diplomatic awareness and negotiation skills, reflecting the spirit of the UN-style programme.
The strong showing is being seen as a proud moment for the students, their families, mentors and the wider Pakistani community, while also highlighting Pakistan's growing presence in international academic and youth diplomacy forums.
