Bangladesh Women Sports Association and Bangladesh Archery Federation have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at providing short-term and long-term archery training to girls on the basis of mutual cooperation. Barrister Sarwat Siraj Shukla, president of Bangladesh Women Sports Association, and Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal, president of Bangladesh Archery Federation, signed this memorandum of understanding on behalf of their respective organisations at a programme held at the Shaheed Ria Gop Women Sports Complex of Bangladesh Women Sports Association in Dhanmondi of the capital on Monday afternoon. Other members of the ad-hoc committees of both federations were present at that time. The tenure of this memorandum of understanding is three years. During this period Bangladesh Women Sports Association will provide short-term and long-term training through the Archery Federation to interested girls from Dhaka and the grassroots level. In this case the Archery Federation will supply coaches and sports equipment. The federation will be able to select talented players from among the participating archers and give them the opportunity to play at the national level or on their behalf.
