Four fire engines are at the scene of a fire in Saltburn. Cleveland Police has confirmed a road closure is in place around the Windsor Road and Hilda Place junction in the seaside town.
There are no current reports of any injuries as emergency services arrive in the residential Hilda Place. Motorists are being urged to avoid the area on Tuesday afternoon, September 8.
Windsor Road is one of the main routes through Saltburn. A spokesperson for Cleveland Fire Brigade said: "We are currently dealing with an incident on Hilda Place, Saltburn. There are four fire engines in attendance. Please avoid the area if you can."
Posting details about the road closure, Cleveland Fire Brigade said: "Motorists are advised that due to a fire at an address on Hilda Place in Saltburn the road is closed- there are no current reports of any injuries.
"Emergency services are on scene and a road closure is in place around the Windsor Road/Hilda Place junction. Please therefore avoid the area and seek alternative routes. Thank you for your patience and co-operation."
